The interdisciplinary programme "Advanced Materials Science" offers excellent students with degrees in chemistry, physics or materials science a multi-faceted training in materials science, covering the range from atomic dimensions and nanoparticles to macroscopic matter.
The programme features small classes, intensive tutoring, project work, presentations by renowned international guest speakers, a winter school, and extensive practical training at leading industrial R&D units and production sites.
The research areas of the contributing faculties of the three partner universities (TUM, LMU and the University of Augsburg) cover solid state physics, physical chemistry, technical and polymer chemistry, as well as solid state chemistry
