Professional experience required: Preferably 3 years of practical or research work experience.

Objectives: An MSc programme that studies the management of conflicts over water resources. It focuses on negotiation, mediation and decision-making processes, in order to prevent, manage and resolve conflicts concerning water. The programme is designed for water managers as well as for institutional, legal international relations experts interested in local, national and international water management.
Subjects: Principles of integrated water resources management; hydrology; research and management skills; water law and institutions; advanced water law; mediation and negotiation; critical institutional analyses; watershed and river basin management; MSc research and thesis writing.
Modes of instruction: Lectures, exercises, computer workshops, fieldwork, fieldtrip, group work, simulation.
