This MA offers you an exciting opportunity to address questions of central importance and urgency in contemporary globalised society. Via small-group seminars taught by active researchers, the programme introduces you to the key thinkers, traditions and debates in media and cultural studies (bridging both arts and the social sciences), and equips you with the critical and methodological skills to research a wide range of media (print and broadcast media, cinema, the music industry, the internet and other new technologies).
The MA is designed as an advanced training in media and cultural studies. It is aimed at those with a relevant undergraduate degree who wish to advance their study (an option-only route is available), and also those who wish to enter the field for the first time.
