Educational requirements: Upper second class undergraduate degree (bachelor or equivalent) or significant work experience in communication management related areas.

Professional experience required: Students with no formal higher education may be admitted if they have significant communication management-related work experience.

Language requirements: IELTS (minimum score: 6.5)

Objectives: This study programme caters for the growing demand for independent-thinking communication managers who can assist organisations to respond to a fast changing, international environment. It will prepare you for a career in international organisations including the UN, NGO’s, the Foreign Office and British Council as well as in public relations consultancies and in-house communication departments.

Subjects: Public relations; public affairs; lobbying; sponsorship; fundraising; media communications management; strategic planning; digital communication; quantitative and qualitative research methods.

Modes of instruction: Lectures, seminars that include practical exercises such as case studies, projects, discussions and debates, individual and group oral presentations which aid the development of cognitive skills; Guided self-study which aims to widen sources of reference to support the above, particularly in academic journals and the press.
