The combined talents and expertise of physicists and chemists are the key to success in the field of condensed matter and nanomaterials science, which is the focus of this programme. Functional materials, organic and inorganic, play an important role in much of modern physics, chemistry and technology.
The Master's programme in Chemistry and Physics is an excellent starting point for a career as a researcher in a multidisciplinary environment. More than half the graduates go on to do PhD research in the Netherlands or abroad. And because you can also carry out your work experience in industry, the programme offers you an excellent opportunity to explore possibilities for an industrial career. All other applicants, including applicants who hold a Dutch HBO diploma (diploma of higher professional education), must provide proof of proficiency in English. To do so, you are required to take one of the following English language tests:
